The launch is near. I ask, am I prepared?

To bare my soul, to stand declared.

It’s one thing to write with truth in hand,

Another way to let the world understand.

Years I’ve spent reclaiming me,

Word by word, to set me free.

Now the moment has come to share,

I am bracing for eyes that stare.

For judgment, doubt, impostor’s voice,

For pushback loud, for lack of choice.

For being seen, for being known

For standing tall, yet all alone.

And still I rise, I speak, I send,

Because I know that our stories help heal

They may break, but they also eventually mend.

Our stories don’t belong in silent halls,

But in the light, where courage calls.

I’m not quite ready, maybe never will.

But truth moves forward, strong and still.

So if you’ve felt “too much” to be,

I hope my story sets you free.

Because what you carry, deep and true,

Is exactly what the world needs from you.

Love to myself
