You don’t have to play along.
Please don’t ask me my political views because I refuse to watch the news.
I won’t be played like a fiddle in a game of political riddles.
Those making you a promise are the ones being dishonest,
Fueled by political lies, all this misplaced anger isn’t the answer.
Nor is looking for someone to blame, which will only drive you insane.
Their mission is to divide and conquer; they aren’t interested in your pain
They are motivated by their power and their own financial gain
That’s why I refuse to play their game.
I wont allow myself to be sucked in because I genuinely believe that actual change comes from within.
Also, harboring hate isn’t good for the soul, so I prefer to let that shit go.
Life is a roll of the dice and isn’t always nice, but we can always lead by example.
And be the change YOU want to see, instead of buying into the hypocrisy.
Don’t let our differences tear us apart,
Remember, unity starts with an open heart.
Try practising a little more grace and remind ourselves that we are ALL part of the same human race.
